Camille Saint-Saens "Organ" Symphony No. 3

The Rainier Symphony, David Waltman, cond.
Recorded Live, March 2007
Beneroya Hall

1. Adagio - Allgro Moderato
2. Poco Adagio
3. Allegro Moderato
4. Maestoso - Allegro

I played 3rd horn on this. 99% of the horn solos,
and esepcially the solo horn you hear in the 2nd movement,
is me. Saint Saens wrote all the solo work for 3rd horn, as
was tradition during this time period. In fact, the highest horn notes
are me. I am not sure why modern orchestras don't just give this part
to the 1st horn. But I had a good time.
